FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are your private group classes beginner-friendly?

Yes, absolutely! Class starts with a twerk 101 lesson so that you can learn & get familiar with how to do the fundamental moves first. The rest of class is tailored to your group's overall vibe and current experience level.

Can we bring alcohol to our private group class?

Sure! This is your party and I want you to enjoy it.

That being said, here's what you agree to by bringing alcohol:

  • You are aware of your own consumption limits and will listen to your body's relevant signals throughout class. Twerk is physically demanding, and only you know what feels safe for you and what doesn't.
  • Ice must be stored in a cooler.
  • NO SPILLZ EVER. Just kidding :) It happens. I just ask that you make me aware of any spills immediately so that we can work together to get it taken care of and get back to the fun.

What attire do you recommend for twerking?

I encourage you to wear something that makes you feel sexy! (That's also comfortable for dancing😊)

Here are my recommendations for optimal booty bouncing:

  • NOT fitness or athleisure bottoms! They are typically made from compression materials, which restrict the exact areas of the body that we need to be unrestricted.
    • I recommend shorts for beginners. Leggings can certainly be great --BUT-- in my experience, there are a variety of factors that play a role in whether or not any one pair of leggings will be twerk-friendly. Determining what really works for your booty requires some trial and error, so- if you haven't experimented with leggings for twerking already- shorts will give you less of a headache and more of the desired twerk effect.

  • Any casual or sporting shoe with a rubber sole. Barefoot works as well. You want a stable grip on the floor beneath you, so I don't recommend wearing just socks alone.
    • I personally find flat soles to provide the best stability

  • A supportive bralette or sports bra

When is your next public class?

How did you get into teaching twerk?

Now this is a story all about how :)
